Having added Iowa and Wisconsin to my "life list" in 2022, I only had North and South Dakota left to complete my visits to all 50 states. We've discussed several ways to include them over the years without success, so when I found the Road Scholar "Best of the Dakotas" program we signed up immediately and chose a time in June. The map shows where we stayed and gives an idea of how we progressed through the states.
Our
trip started and ended in Rapid City, SD. We also made stops in Pierre,
SD, Bismarck, ND, and Medora, ND while visiting sites in between,
including a short diversion into Wyoming.
There are a couple of ways to follow us on our trip. I've tried to make the narrative a complete summary, but I've used many links to other web sites to provide additional details and sometimes pictures. You can either stick with the basic narrative or explore the various links. At the time this album was created the links were all valid, but the WWW is in constant flux and that can change. If you encounter broken links, please send us some email.
