I'm sure we didn't get married JUST to go on our first Potomac Valley Skiers' trip to Europe, but I'm equally sure that the timing had something to do with the trip schedule. The federal tax "marriage penalty" also had an effect on our decision to tie the knot in January.
We had been introduced to PVS by our friend and colleague Billie Pease (now Manring). She and then-husband Larry were long-time members. The thought of a honeymoon on the slopes in Austria and Italy was very appealing. Having experienced trip leaders such as Bob & Margaret Wyckoff to do the heavy lifting was also attractive. We were sold.
There are a couple of ways to follow us on our trip. I've tried to make the narrative a complete summary, but I've used many links to other web sites to provide additional details and sometimes pictures.
