I'm always on the lookout for interesting plants, but we didn't get many on this trip. Most of our time was either spent in the dunes, where there were few plants, or in cities, where the landscaping consisted primarily of petunias, geraniums and marigolds. Fine plants all, but not especially interesting.
These succulents with star-shaped flowers were located throughout the property. It looks like some kind of iceplant.
A kalanchoe.
This is an acacia. The flowers glowed in the setting sun.
As noted earlier roses are a cash crop in the Jebel Al Akhdar and they were well represented in the hotel landscaping. Unlike here in the US, many of the roses were fragrant.
