Starting with 2013 I joined the Rockbridge Camera Club. I decided some time in 2012 that I wanted to become more intentional with my pictures. Instead of marveling that, "wow, that turned out well," I wanted to begin planning how to make things turn out to match a vision.
Perhaps this may be more difficult than even I imagine, but we'll see.
The first thing I did was sign up for a "get to know your camera" session with Ellen Martin. I had just gotten a new camera (Nikon D7000) and seriously needed an introduction. Reminded me of the "mixers" I used to attend in college. Actually, it was MUCH better than that!
The first event that I was able to attend was at the local Devil's Backbone Brewery.
